This is the BEST Philly Cheesesteak Recipe! We did a lot of searching for cheesesteaks to replicate the ones we were used to enjoying haved lived close to Philadelphia. But we were repeatedly disappointed so we have finally come up with our own. So if you're looking to replicate that delicious Philly cheesesteak you are used to getting from the deli, you are going to love this recipe!
Our easy Philly cheesesteak sandwich is made with shaved or thinly sliced sirloin steak, sliced onions and bell peppers atop a toasted hoagie bun layered with provolone cheese.
The meat is tossed with a blend of flavorful spices, then grilled or pan fried with the onions and peppers. It makes a fantastic tasting sandwich that is quick and easy to prepare, easy to cleanup and that even the kids can help to make.
We use this homemade cheesesteak seasoning (trust us, the store bought stuff doesn't compare!). This blend makes the best Philly cheesesteaks that won't disappoint you. We love making these on the grill on a Saturday night, then enjoying dinner on the deck.
They're one of our favorite sandwiches, next to fried tacos and pepperoni pizza sliders. And of our favorite toasted bread recipes aside from pepperoni toast and meatball toast.
