Snack boards are fantastic for any type of party or holiday. This Sweet and Salty Halloween Snack Board compliments our healthier Halloween grazing board. We use a mixture of sweet snacks, candy, and salty snack foods in traditional Halloween colors of orange, yellow, white and black.
It's easy to put together and involves no cooking - my favorite part! Let the kids help pick out and arrange the foods to get them involved and make it a family fun event. My kids love helping to decorate our zombie cupcakes and dark unicorn cupcakes. They get a kick out of helping wrap up our mummy hot dogs too!

Supplies Needed
You'll need a charcuterie board and a few small bowls to arrange the ingredients. This board is one of my favorite circular boards. I love that it has handles for easy carrying. If you'd like a rectangular snack board, this one here is a great option. But you can also use a large wooden cutting board if you don't have time to go shopping or if you're on a really tight budget.
Ingredients
Make your Halloween snack board with your preferred candies and snacks in festive colors. You can't do it wrong! Here are some suggestions:
- Orange: candy corn, candy pumpkins, Reese's pieces, cheddar popcorn, cheez-its, Fritos, Cheetos, goldfish, pumpkin spice yogurt-covered pretzels. You can also add these mummy hot dogs for a festive flair.
- Yellow/beige: crackers, popcorn, caramel candies and these candy corn cupcakes.
- White: white cheddar popcorn, tortilla chips and dip, mini marshmallows
- Black: Oreo cookies, chocolate bar pieces, black licorice or these graveyard brownies.
- Green: gummy worms, apples and caramel dip.
Tips from the Chef
- If small children who can choke easily on certain foods will enjoy your snack board, watch out for choking hazard foods like grapes or anything hard to chew.
- Consider a nut-free snack board if you're serving to guests and you don't know if someone has an allergy.
- If you're serving your snack board outside, consider leaving out items that can easily melt if you live in a hotter climate or foods that quickly attract flies and ants.
How To Arrange A Snack Board
- Arrange the bowls on opposite corners of the charcuterie tray and fill them with the smaller foods, such as mini marshmallows and candies.
- Arrange the other ingredients around the board, with different color foods in opposite locations around the board.
- Fill in any gaps with extra foods or candy pieces.
