We love making healthier Halloween charcuterie boards to counter all those sweet candy treats the kids get while trick or treating or at school parties. This snack board is a nice addition to a sweet & salty Halloween snack board, candy corn cupcakes, dark unicorn cupcakes, and our favorite- zombie cupcakes!
Healthy snack boards take little time to prepare. It's never taken me more than 20 minutes to get the board put together since the foods are generally fruits and vegetables and prepackaged snacks that don't need to be cooked.
If you're new to putting together charcuterie boards, this guide to making 15-minute kid-friendly charcuterie boards is a great place for helpful tips and ideas.
Chef's Tips
- Kids Ages. If small children who can choke easily on certain foods will enjoy your snack board, watch out for choking hazard foods like grapes or anything hard to chew.
- Allergies. Consider a nut-free snack board if you're serving to guests and you don't know if someone has an allergy. Although, I think it's pretty standard that parent's of kids with allergies alert a party host about allergies ahead of time.
- Weather/Temperature. If you're serving your snack board outside, consider leaving out items that can easily melt if you live in a hotter climate or foods that quickly attract flies and ants.

Supplies Needed
You'll need a charcuterie board and some small bowls to arrange the foods. This board on Amazon is one of my favorite circular boards. I love that it has handles for easy carrying! If you'd like a rectangular snack board, this one here is a great option. But you can also use a large wooden cutting board if you don't have time to go shopping or if you're on a really tight budget.
Ingredients Needed
Make your healthy Halloween snack board with your preferred veggies, fruit, cheeses, and meats. You can't do it wrong! Here are some suggestions:
- Green: bite-size cucumber slices, apples and caramel dip, pears, pickles, sliced green grapes.
- Orange: use clementines to resemble pumpkins, peeled clementine slices, baby carrots, cheddar cheese cubes, mini hot dogs, candy pumpkins. You can also add these mummy hot dogs for a festive flair.
- Yellow: candy corn, crackers, banana slices, popcorn.
- White: mozzarella cheese balls, white cheddar popcorn, tortilla chips and dip, mini marshmallows.
- Black: blackberries, olives, Oreo cookies.

- Arrange the bowls on opposite corners of the charcuterie tray and fill them with the smaller foods, such as the berries, mini marshmallows and candy corn. Place the clementines or large fruits around the board in opposite locations.
- Arrange the other ingredients around the board, with different color foods in opposite locations around the board.
- Fill in any gaps with extra foods or candy pieces.
