It's not game day without Mini Football Pigs In A Blanket! These are always a hit at any party and the first dish to be gone. They are fun and easy for both kids and adults to eat, and there is something about them that is just comforting, addicting, and party-ish.
Pigs in a blanket are a wonderful finger food served alongside Pepperoni Pizza Sliders, Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots, and Pizza Poppers.
Ingredients
You need only 3 ingredients to make football shaped pigs in a blanket.
- mini hot dogs
- crescent dough
- cheddar cheese (this is optional to make cheesy pigs in a blanket)
Don't forget to include condiments like ketchup and mustard, or whatever else you put on your hot dogs.
Step-By-Step Directions
Making these is incredibly easy and takes very little time. They require only about 5 minutes of preparation and 10 minutes of cooking. The best part is that you don't have to plan to have them ready right as the party starts. They can be served warm, but are just as great at room temperature.
STEP 1: Roll out the crescent triangles and cut each into 2 pieces. If using cheese sprinkle it on the short end of the triangles.
STEP 2: Then put the mini hot dog on top of the cheese and wrap the dough around it, pinching the ends together so the hot dog is covered. If not using cheese, just put the hot dog onto the crescent dough.
STEP 3: Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.
How To Store
