We use our air fryer to cook all of favorite frozen foods. It takes a fraction of the time as oven baking does and most frozen foods turn out way better in the air fryer than they do in the microwave.
Air fryer frozen fish sticks are one of the quickest foods we cook in our air fryer, as they make a fast, nutritious and delicious lunch or dinner. Air frying frozen pizza, onion rings, taquitos, chicken nuggets and sweet corn dogs are more of our favorites.
What To Serve With Crispy Fish Sticks
Some suggestions for sides to serve with your breaded fish sticks are butter parmesan spaghetti or broccoli garlic pasta, vegetable noodle soup and southern baked mac and cheese.
Instructions
STEP 1: Preheat the air fryer to 400℉/206℃. If your air fryer does not require preheating, skip this step.
STEP 2: Place the frozen fish sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the wire rack with space between so they do not touch. Coat with pure oil (optional).
STEP 3: Air fry for 5-8 minutes, until fish sticks are golden brown and the internal temperature has reached 165℉.
STEP 4: Using a spatula, remove the cooked fish sticks from the basket. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such cocktail sauce or tartar sauce.
Tips from the Chef
- For best results, place the fish sticks in a single layer with space between them so they aren't touching. This will let the air circulate properly for even and crisp cooking.
- For extra crispiness, spray or coat the frozen fish sticks with pure oil prior to air frying.
- Your fish sticks may need more or less time, as different brands have different power levels. Basket style air fryers typically cook food a little quicker than oven style air fryers.
