If your kids love Oreos and Rice Krispie treats, this recipe is about to become a household favorite. Oreo Rice Krispie Treats are soft, rich and perfectly crunchy with just the right amount of chocolate in every bite. Best of all, they’re no-bake, quick to make and easy enough for kids to help with!
Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with butter and set aside.
Add the unsalted butter and marshmallows to a large pot. Heat on low to medium-low on the stove, stirring constantly, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
Remove the pot from the heat. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies and chopped Oreos with the spoon until evenly combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula. Set at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
Remove from the pan and cut into 9 squares.
Notes
Storing: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. They stay soft and delicious without refrigeration.Tip 1: Do not refrigerate or freeze to speed up setting. This can make the treats hard instead of soft and gooey.Tip 2:Grease the pan generously or use parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.Tip 3: Lightly butter your spoon or hands to prevent sticking when smoothing the mixture.
