Cheese Lasagna is a classic Italian dinner that's comforting, hearty and absolutely delicious. Made with oven-ready noodles and your favorite jar of sauce, this recipe is simple and fast and great for family dinners.
In a large bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder and onion powder.
Spread 1 cup of sauce on the bottom of the 9x13 inch baking dish. Lay 3 noodles longways on top of the sauce. Spread ½ of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on top of the cheese mixture.
Add 5 more noodles on top of the first layer. Spread the remaining cheese mixture over the noodles. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on top.
Add the last layer of 5 noodles and spread 1 more cup of sauce on top, ensuring the noodles are completely covered.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and uncover. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes, or until all of the cheese is melted and begins to turn golden brown.
Top with chopped fresh parsley or basil and let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
