Our Apple Hand Pies feature a sweet apple pie filling inside a premade buttery pie crust. They're easy to make and taste delicious. When apples are in season, apple hand pies make a tasty fall breakfast or dessert.
Preheat the oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Carefully pour out the apple pie filling onto a cutting board and chop the apple chunks into bite sized pieces.
Place one pie crust onto the baking sheet and cut 6 circles into it with the biscuit cutter. Discard the pie scraps or use in another recipe.
Add about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center of each circle, then fold over. Press the edges down with a fork, and make a slit in the top of the pie crust. Brush butter over the top.
Stir together the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the hand pies.
Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven. Transfer to a wire rack to cool before enjoying.
Repeat steps 3-6 with the other pie crust and remaining ingredients.
Notes
Storing: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. They can be kept in the fridge for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months. Reheat in an air fryer or oven at 400℉ for 4-5 minutes, if desired.Tip 1: Don't overfill the pies or they will burst when cooking.Tip 2: Do not skip making a slice in the top of the hand pie before cooking. This allows the pie to vent and not leak out the sides.
