Christmas Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods are an easy, festive treat that’s perfect for the holiday season. Made with just 3 simple ingredients and ready in about 10 minutes, these sweet-and-salty pretzel sticks are as fun to make as they are to eat.
Start by melting the chocolate in a microwave-safe glass bowl or tall measuring cup. Heat it in 20-second intervals, stirring well between each round, until smooth and fully melted (about 1 minute total). If needed, continue heating in shorter 10-second bursts, stirring each time to prevent the chocolate from burning.
Once the chocolate is melted, dip a pretzel rod into the chocolate, coating about ½ to ¾ of the pretzel. You can also use a spoon to scoop and spread the melted chocolate over the pretzel.
Place the chocolate-covered pretzel on parchment paper and immediately add holiday sprinkles, turning the pretzel to coat all sides. Let the pretzels set on the parchment paper for about 10 minutes at room temperature, or speed things up by placing them in the refrigerator for 5 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
Notes
You can leave the pretzels on the counter to harden the chocolate or speed up the process by putting them in the fridge for about 5 minutes.
