Equipment

Ingredients

Vanilla Fudge

  • 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • 16 oz container of vanilla frosting

Chocolate Fudge

  • 3 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 16 oz container of chocolate frosting, or sweetened condensed milk

Peanut Butter Fudge

  • 16 oz peanut butter
  • 16 oz container of vanilla or chocolate frosting

Instructions

  • Prepare the pan by lining an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl melt the chocolate chips or peanut butter, depending on the flavor of fudge you're making. Melt in 30 second increments in the microwave and mix between increments until the chocolate or peanut butter has melted. Add the frosting (also add food coloring here if using a color). You can also add a few tablespoons of sprinkles. Stir until combined.
  • Immediately pour the fudge into the parchment-lined pan and decorate with sprinkles, candy or other toppings if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.

Notes

*Serving size and nutritional information is approximate and will vary depending on flavor and how big you cut the fudge.
Tip 1: Chocolate burns easily, so make sure to not overheat it. It should take 60-90 seconds total. Once most of the chips are melted, you can stop the heating process. A good stir should melt any remaining chips.
Tip 2: To easily cut fudge, remove it from the pan by pulling it up with the parchment paper. Slowly peel the paper off of the fudge and transfer it to a serving plate. Wait a few minutes for it to warm up slightly, then use a knife to cut it into squares. If the knife doesn't slide easily into the chilled fudge, rinse the knife with hot water. Then dry it and use the warm knife to cut through the cool fudge.
Storing: Keep in a container covered with plastic wrap in the fridge until ready to serve. It will keep well for up to 7 days. Fudge can also be frozen (though the texture might change a bit) for up to 6 months.
